18. October 2000 - PANArt in Trinidad at „International Conference on the Science and Technology of the Steelpan“
F. Rohner about STEELPAN: „The need for continuing dialogue seems more pressing right now than standardisation,“ Rohner said. „Pan is not just a Trini novelty anymore. It is an instrument that has been given to the world and several people have ideas about what should happen to it next. We need to hear all those ideas before taking any steps that might slow its progress.“ Quote Felix Rohner.
- “In the same year we were invited to the first International Conference on Science and Technology of the Steelpan (ICSTS 2000) in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, where we presented our instruments and our research results. “It sounds like in the old days,” was the reaction of the Trinidad scholars. This statement was a confirmation of our work because it really was the sound of the old steel bands that had inspired us.”Source: Newsletter by PANArt 2009:http://www.hangblog.org/letter-from-the-hangbauhaus-november-2009/
