An article by Michael Paschko (RIP) about „Handpans“ is published on the „Hanglexikon“. Quote:

„None of the instruments, on the other hand, inherits from the Hang the deep-drawn and nitrided raw form in conjunction with the tuning process developed by PANArt, which is based on clamping processes. Although the shape of the instrument body and the geometry of the tone fields of some Handpans show similarities – in some cases great ones – to the Hang, this in no way suggests similarities of material and tuning process.“
